Is there wifi? Yes, free wifi. Is there parking at the Adobe? Yes, we have free on-site guest parking spaces. Do we require a minimum stay? No, there is no minimum night's stay at the Adobe ever, Not even on holidays and weekends. What time is breakfast? Our breakfast buffet is available from 8am to 10:30am every day. Do you have rooms with private bathrooms? All of our rooms have private bathrooms. All have tubs and showers except for the Lookout which has only a shower and the Mission which has only a tub. What part of Santa Cruz are you in? We are perched on hill just above downtown Santa Cruz. We are walking distance to the Civic Auditorium, the Catalyst, Museum of Art & History and the Kuumbwa Jazz Center. We are near Holy Cross Church, Chestnut St. and the restaurants, theaters and shops along Pacific Avenue downtown. WalkScore.com rates the Adobe a "Walkers' Paradise" with a score of 100 out of 100, the highest rating of any hotel, motel or B&B in Santa Cruz. Is the neighborhood safe? We are in a very safe neighborhood of beautiful homes. Walking downtown from the Adobe is a breeze past old Victorian homes. Where is the beach? The main beach, boardwalk, and wharf are 15 blocks away or 1.25 miles. It is a safe walk through downtown to the beach with sidewalks all the way. How far in advance do I have to reserve a room? While we can't predict the future, weekends are in high demand and often fill up four weeks in advance. What is our cancellation policy? 72 hours before arrival date for one room up to two nights. One week before arrival for reservations of multiple rooms or stays of three days or longer. I looked on Google Maps and saw train tracks near Green street. Is it noisy? No. The train tracks at the base of Green Street are from redwood logging operations in the 1800's. The tracks are used today by Roaring Camp Railroad, a tourist train that takes people from the redwoods to the beach four times a day in the summer. There are no trains running after 5pm. |
